About me

Over time, I’ve found myself increasingly drawn to understanding how people make sense of difficult experiences and challenges. As I trained in counselling and psychotherapy, it became clear that meaningful connections with people were where I wanted to focus my attention. This led me to relational psychotherapy, where the therapeutic relationship sits at the centre of the work.

Creativity and connection with the world around us are also important to me. I’m interested in how physical sensations, emotions, and the environments we live in shape our experiences and understanding of ourselves. You’ll see from the images on this website that I’m particularly drawn to the sea, and I value exploring with clients how they create meaning in their own environments.

My work is informed by curiosity about identity, relationships, and the ways power operates within and between people. I hold an anti-oppressive stance and have experience working with neurodiversity. My approach is trauma-informed and shaped by understanding distress through the question of what has happened to a person, rather than what may be seen as wrong with them.

I aim to bring warmth, empathy, and curiosity to my work, alongside a non-judgemental and thoughtful approach. Building a caring and ethical therapeutic relationship is important to me, creating space for us to explore your experiences collaboratively.
